Chuck got to feel more kicks today! I love that he can feel her moving around in there!

Today we painted the baby’s room. We painted it a green color that was in the bedding that we want. Chuck’s mom and my mom came over to help paint. It was so fun to see it finally have some color.
I hope she likes green! I wanted to do green walls because I wanted to be able to have pink things in the room…like curtains and such. We’ll see how that goes!
I guess we’re really having a baby!

Today we had another ultrasound and found out we’re having a GIRL! When the u/s tech told us, I cried! I would have cried either way. I was so excited! I made sure to ask her how sure she was. She told us that she can’t tell anyone 100%, but would say with 95% certainty that we were having a girl. I’ll take that!
When we were alone, Chuck said, “oh man, I’m in trouble!” He knows he’s going to be putty in her hands! We really couldn’t be happier!

We were sitting on the couch watching a movie and I could tell the baby was moving a lot. So while we were sitting there I just had Chuck leave his hand on my belly to see if he could feel anything. A couple minutes later he pauses the movie and says “I just felt something! That is so cool!” He was so excited to feel the baby kick and I am was glad he could, too.
I know there will be many more times, but there’s something about having Chuck finally feel it for the first time that makes me so happy! I loved seeing him so happy about it, too!
This baby is going to change our lives and I am so thankful for this blessing and for all the changes it will bring. It’s a new chapter in our lives that we are so excited to embark upon!

We went up north for my cousin Matt’s wedding. It was fun to see people, but both Chuck and I were really tired and only made it to 10:00…which was later than I thought we would be out. We had a nice time seeing so many family members and seeing how excited people are for us.

Since it was raining this morning and I was tired of standing on the bus, I decided to try out my new plan of getting up, showering, getting on the bus right by my house and going to the gym downtown before work for my walk.
It worked out pretty well. I forgot how long of a walk it is to the gym from my office/bus stop, so I may have to walk to 25 minutes instead of 30 when I am at the gym so I am at work a few minutes earlier than I was today. No big deal.
I am happy it went smoothly, though. I still get up at the same time and get home at the same time. I just have a different routine between getting up and getting to work. I think it will be nice. I was really planning to do this when it got colder outside. Then I wouldn’t have to drive as far to the bus stop. So I just started this a little sooner.
And I am glad that I did!
I also noticed that some of my shirts that weren’t so tight on me a couple weeks ago, are a little too tight now. 🙂 Guess I really am getting bigger! 🙂

I was in bed last night watching tv and the baby was kicking like crazy. I took Chuck’s hand to try to get him to feel it, but it’s still just kicks I can feel. I was really hoping that he would be able to feel them. I know he’s a patient person, but I will be so excited when he can feel the baby move, too!
The last couple days the Eagan bus I take has been a small bus. Therefore I have been stuck standing. I can’t believe that no one offered to let me sit down. Oh well…I’ll remedy the situation tomorrow by taking a different bus. 🙂

I finally got around to working on my website and adding some baby things to it. I have been putting it off for so long. But once I start working on it, I remember how much fun it is!

Two weeks from today we find out if this baby is a boy or a girl! I am so excited to find out! I hope the baby is cooperative for the ultrasound!
A coworker found out she is having a boy today! She really wanted a girl, but her husband is beyond ecstatic to be having a boy! 🙂

We headed to Bluefin Bay (near Lutsen) this weekend with a couple friends. On the drive up, I felt a kick on my right side, then one in the middle, the one toward the left side. There was no mistaking that those were kicks since it was moving around. There were a few seconds between each one. So very cool!
