My fabulous hubby surprised me with a fabulous gift! He got me an iPad!

He said it was sad to see me struggle with my laptop while I sit on the couch all day nursing. I was so surprised! Especially since I didn’t think we’d ever get Apple products again with Chuck working for Microsoft. But Microsoft doesn’t make a comparable product yet. So he got me this beauty! He didn’t get the pink cover (mine is grey) which is good so Chuck can use it, too!

So here I sit…on the couch…feeding Maddie and blogging on my iPad! We’ll see how this turns out!

Chuck got me some of the most unusual and cool gifts ever this year! Keep in mind that I don’t want chocolate as a gift, I like flowers, but don’t want that much money spent on something that dies so quickly (and we’re hoping we won’t be around for a few days if this baby makes her arrival soon) and I just generally like gifts that are a little unique. So Chuck hit the jackpot this year! Check out what he got me!

First, all of the gifts are from Think Geek. If you have never been to this website, make sure you have some extra time on your hands because you’ll sit there for a LONG time looking around at all the cool stuff they have!

This gift seriously made me roll on the floor laughing! They are so awesome! They are Mini Plush Microbes. Yes, you read that correctly. Take a look at the pictures!

Pretty funny, huh! I love them! I can just picture Thumper playing with these one day and people thinking her parents are insane.  

Next, he got me some gummy candies. Well, I use “candy” loosely. It’s a Giant Bleeding Gummy Heart and Gummy Brain. I love that they come with an extra tube of “blood” to add to the gummy candies.

I love that they are packaged like meat! So hilarious! I can’t wait to dig into them!

Finally, I got a Heart Hand Warmer. You boil it and then it is reusable! I’m always cold so this is SO exciting!

And of course, we’re also hoping for a baby today! That would be a pretty good gift! I hope you got something great (and fun) from your sweetheart!

Chuck surprised me with a new toy! A new Arc Touch mouse! It’s so cool! It was delivered the other day. I had no idea he was going to surprise me with this cool little gadget!

Pretty cool, huh? When you flatten it, it turns off. When you bend it up, it’s ready to use! Man, I love being married to a Microsoft employee who gets me super cool things for a fraction of the retail price!

Time for a new snazzy watch! That's what time it is!

I have no idea what they are like in person and I don't even care. I just know that I want one! I think you should add one to your wish list, too!

I decided I wanted some new boots. So I have been hunting online for the cheapest deal I can get for cute shoes. Of course, Target came to my rescue yet again. I ordered these:

Aren't they cute?! Here's the kicker…they are kids shoes! So they are even cheaper. And if I bought them online, I got one pair 1/2 off. Yes, please! So I got these two pairs of boots and I am so excited to wear them with everything!

I do have a pair of black boots currently, but they have a pretty high heel and I just haven't been very comfortable in my heels in a while. I have been wearing flat shoes so often that when I wear heels, it just doesn't feel right. So these are going to be perfect. I even got them approved by my very stylish friend, Hillary. If she thinks they are cute, I know I am going to LOVE them!

*UPDATE* I DO love them! I have found reasons to wear them just about every day since I got them in the mail! I have also gotten a ton of compliments on them! Yay for kids shoes!

I bought a few of these dresses in a couple colors shortly after I found out I was pregnant. It was still warm outside and I knew I was going to get bigger. I am so glad I did. They are so comfortable and so versatile. I can make them casual or dressed up. I am sure I will even wear them into the winter with tights and boots!

I like to sit with my laptop on my lap on the couch. Yeah, yeah. I know they aren't really supposed to be for your lap. They get hot and blah blah blah They should have named them something else then!

But I also love my heated blanket. And I REALLY can't use my laptop when I have that heated blanket on. And given the choice between the two, the heated blanket wins. (Hence why I haven't been posting much lately!)

I had been thinking about getting something to put under my laptop so I could still use my heated blanket…even if the blanket wasn't on. But then, in true Andi form, I promptly forgot about it. Thankfully, my hubby has a better memory than I do and picked this little guy up for me.

You can plug it into your laptop via USB and it turns on a fan to keep your laptop cool and prevents overheating.

So now I can use my laptop AND my heated blanket! That makes one happy Andi!

I am always cold. Therefore, I need sweaters in my wardrobe. Not just a couple. A lot. In every color preferably!

The ones I bought 2 years ago to wear over everything are getting worn out. So I was in the market for some new ones. And then I came across these beauties…ON SALE!

I love them! I have received many compliments on them. I love the girly feel to them. They go with everything! I found these at Macy's a few weeks ago in case you are in the market for something like this, too!

I love my new heart rate monitor! I recently mentioned that the previous one I had met it's death. Well, the chest strap for the one I had did not have any way to change the battery in it. So after having it for a number of years, it died. Chuck decided to see if he could get it open and replace the battery. This is where the chest strap died. Chuck very carefully cut his way inside it, but it just wasn't feasible to change the battery and get it back together. Now I could have gotten a new chest strap, but after trying out Chuck's while I was running, I knew I had to have one that counted the calories you burned.

So Chuck did some research on them and gave me a few options (the ones that seemed to be best for what I wanted). So I looked them over and decided on the FT40 from Polar! Isn't it a beauty!?

Yes, it's green! It also has little flowers on it! I think it's adorable. Mind you, my arm is SO tiny that it looks huge on it, but I still love it!

I have used it a number of times for running, bike riding, a walk around a lake. I can't say enough good things about it!
