My red day lilies started to bloom today!
And my fabulous hubby sent me this picture of them and I got it just as I was leaving work! It made me smile! He is wonderful!
When we bought all the flowers and plants for our landscaping, I was a little worried that these red lilies might not bloom until next year. When we purchased them, none of them had even begun to flower. But I was jumping up and down giddy so happy that all six of the plants are starting to bloom!
All of our new plants are growing quite well and sprouting new growth. The Black Eyed Susans sure tell you when they need water. Man, do they look sad when they are thirsty! We still haven't finished up the mulch, but I should really take some pictures of the plants while they still have flowers on them!
