my sister's keeper
I recently read “My Sister's Keeper” by Jodi Picoult. This is the first book I have read from her and I could not put it down. I didn't know much about the story and hadn't seen the movie.
Jodi Picoult does a fabulous job of writing. One of the most amazing things is the way she writes chapters. They are each written by one of the characters in the book. Men, women, children….it was fascinating. It was easy to follow and I was so intrigued by this style of writing. I hadn't read anything like it before.
I am certainly going to read more books by this author and I immediately gave my copy to someone to read. If you can, pick this up!
Oh, and a little side note. I am told that the ending of the book is very different than the ending in the movie. And the author wasn't incredibly happy about the way the movie ended. Just a little tidbit of info for you!

One of my New Years resolutions was to drink more water. This is being aided by the couple of water bottles I got for Christmas. One of them was this one:
I love it! I use it all the time. My goal is to drink 5 bottles full a day. So far I have done quite well. Since I like using it so much, I told myself I would only fill it with water and nothing else. This way, if I want to use the bottle, I need to drink water.
Hopefully I can keep this up all year!

This is the other pink glitter color I found. I just love it. It is much more pink looking in person. It's a bit darker than the other one I have, but I am not afraid of color on my nails.
I also found a great website called Polish Mayhem and she posts pictures of all sorts of nail polish colors on her hands. This is where I got this picture. It's nice to see the colors on instead of in the bottle. It will also make you want every color in the rainbow! 🙂

I got a new phone case recently. Mine tore on one of the corners and around the same time, a friend of mine got this case and I knew I had to have it!
It's a soft case, but is made of a very hard gel. It's fantastic. It's also very thin and not bulky. And of course, I got it in pink! (Surprise surprise!)
If you are interested, you can see more pictures of it HERE. I bought mine online from the AT&T store and they had free shipping and it came really quickly. I was very pleased. You can find it in the store, too (that's where my friend got her's), but you may have more color options online.
