— my little corner of randomness —
1. Labor Day! Because we don't have to go to work and get an extra day of the weekend.
2. Homemade salsa from a friend for dinner.
3. Building shelves in the garage. Projects are fun!
4. The smell of freshly cut lumber.
5. Painting my nails for the first time in 6 months.
1. Cleaning the house (I don't normally enjoy it, but there's something about feeling accomplished when it's all done after it's been messy all week.
2. New neighbors moving in down the block (we haven't had a chance to meet them yet).
3. Dinner at Chuck's mom's house with his sister and her fiance (it seems like ages since we saw them last and we have such a great time with them).
4. Shelves (Chuck is working on building some in the basement).
5. An old friend stopping by…we had lost contact for many years, but man, did I miss her!
1. Sleeping in
2. Getting some new organizational stuff for the house
3. Hanging out with my brother, his girlfriend and their pets
4. My mom's birthday dinner (her birthday is tomorrow)
5. Giving presents.
1. It's Friday…before a three day weekend!
2. Lots of fun things planned for the weekend.
3. Swimming
4. Chatting with neighbors
5. When Chuck surprised me and picked me up from work and taking me to diner!
Today…I got nuthin'! Not a thing I can think of that might be worthy to write about today. So I am going to leave you with this instead.
….because I really want a peanut butter and jelly sammich! 🙂
The concert last night was wonderful! O.A.R. always put on a great show!
But we got home WAY past our bedtime. And I don't function well on too little sleep. Without enough sleep I am cranky, and tired, and cold. So today, I decided to be comfortable and wear some of my favorite things!
Yes. I know it's 75 degrees and gorgeous outside. But I don't care. This is what I wanted to wear today. And I'm going to do what I want! 🙂 So there!
And….surprisingly to all who know me…I am not cranky. Yet. I mean, there's a lot of day left. And since it is getting dangerously close to my feeding time (yes, I called lunch feeding time), and when I don't eat I get cranky. And when I get cold, I get cranky, and when I am tired I get cranky. My husband calls it the “Trifecta”. You don't want to be around me when I am in the middle of a Trifecta*. I am not nice.
*Trifecta conversations usually go one of two ways….
(1) “Are you Hungry?” “Yes.” Are you Cold?” “Yes.” “Are you tired?” “Yes.” “Oh, MAAAAN!”
(2) “Are you Hungry?” “Yes.” Are you Cold?” “Yes.” “Are you tired?” “No.” “Oh, Thank goodness!”
The risk of a Trifecta today is pretty low since I took some precautionary measures.
So currently….Hungry? Yes. Tired? Yes. Cold? Nope! Because I am so comfortable…and warm!
I am now off to remedy another one of those and go feed myself!
1. Wearing comfortable clothes
2. Being warm
3. Getting my new library card in the mail
4. Making a tasty dinner
5. Watching tv in bed and falling asleep early!
Which translates to “lots of food and animals and rides, but mostly food!” Chuck asked what I wanted to eat when I was there….pronto pup, fries, corn on the cob, pronto pup, turkey jerkey, italian ice, cookies, pronto pup….yeah…I like to eat! I am so excited!
We are also going to a concert this year. I friend asked us if we wanted to go.
We're seeing O.A.R.. I haven't been to one of their concerts in a couple years. I am so excited! It was at one of their concerts that I found out about Toby Lightman. She opened for them and sang a song with them which was on one of their cds. She won't be there tonight, but it's going to be a fun night! They put on a great show!

Yeah..I'm freaking out today. I take my first Calculus Exam this afternoon. I know I know…I should have WAY more of the course done and should be taking my final today. But I'm not. And I will have a busy, stressful and (hopefully) rewarding semester.
I am prepared. I have studied and feel like I have some clue as to what I am doing. But still. I.Am.Freaking.Out. This is the first exam I have taken in years. I hated them when I was in school full time and taking them regularly. When I graduated, I thought I was done with the anxiety attacks that come with exams. But nope. I was wrong. I decided I wanted more out of life and this is what I get…exams! 🙂
I will be fine. This is one of the small steps I need to take in life to prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. No matter how much I may doubt myself. I can do it.
So I would kindly appreciate any mathematical vibes you can send me come about 1:00 this afternoon!
