I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has stopped by and visited my site and my little corner of the internet this month! I know there are lots of newcomers because I am over 1000 unique visitors this month!
I appreciate everyone stopping by! I hope you stick around! 🙂
Chuck came back from his trip to the Boundary Waters on Monday. (He had a wonderful trip and wants to take me there sometime!) He surprised my by picking me up from work and taking me to dinner. He even wrapped this little beauty for me!
It's so cozy! I love it! What a wonderful surprise. Even though the best present was having him home again!
Last night we went to dinner at Katie and her hubby's house. And next week is their son's 4th birthday. So I got a gift for him and thought my wrapping job turned out really cute and I thought I would share!
The ball on the top was a huge hit! It lights up when you throw it on the ground. I got a pink one for his little sister (who is 1 1/2). She loved her ball! Then proceeded to bite it and punctured a hole in it. She immediately went to find the green one but it was taken away from her before she could deflate that one! 🙂 They are such cute kids!
AND, one of my favorite artists, Colbie Caillat, released a new CD yesterday. I planned to pick it up at Target during lunch. Well, Target's website told me that they were only available online. (Insert me freaking out here.) So I look at Barnes & Noble which is close, too. More expensive. (Insert GRRR here.) So, then I look at Best Buy. They have it cheaper than Target and Barnes & Noble. (Insert squealing here.) But, there isn't one downtown so I can't get it at lunch. (Sigh.) So, I ask my dear husband what sort of bribing I need to do for him to pick it up for me after work! It didn't take much bribing….he was already going to do it for me!!! See?! He is SO wonderful! (Insert jumping up and down and giddy here.)
(Small side note…they DID have it at Target, but I fought off the urge and didn't buy it since I was hoping Chuck was still going to get it at Best Buy cheaper.)
When I met him at our friends' house, they both decided to play a trick on me and pretend he couldn't get it. He sent me a text message (which was key to me falling for it), but I didn't look at my phone so I didn't see the message. Then I get in the house…”Where's my new CD!!??” I was met with blank faces. And they almost had me. But I saw a slight bit of sneakiness on Chuck's face and knew he was joking! They even already had the cd in the cd player to listen to! How fun! I was one happy Andi! That's for sure!
And, of course I got the “Deluxe Version”! 🙂 And it's FABULOUS!

I just finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife. It was a very creatively written book. I haven't read anything like it. I was impressed that this was the author's first book. I am hoping there are many more wonderful books by her in the future.
I was impressed that she was able to write such a well written book from so many different perspectives and time frames and still be able to have the reader understand what was going on. Plus she was able to write from both the male and female perspective. Not ever author has the capability and talent to do that.
I did think there were a few unanswered questions at the end of the book, but it didn't sway me from really enjoying the book.
I have not seen the movie. I had considered seeing it this weekend, but after hearing from so many people that it wasn't as good as the book, I decided I wouldn't spend my money on seeing it in the theater. I will wait until I can rent it to see it. By then, the story won't be so fresh in my head and I may not dislike it as much! Plus, I have recently learned about the joys of Redbox and might just wait until it shows up there! That is slick!
I digress.
If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it. As a friend warned me, it's a little confusing at first and a little hard to get into. But stick with it, because you'll be hooked.
Happy reading!

I came home today to find my hydrangea tree is starting to turn pink! Yay! I love pink! 🙂 It made me smile!
Maybe this is just a fall thing that it does. Or maybe our soil is coloring it that color. Either way…I like it! 🙂
