Check out this crazy grape I had the other day! It was doubly delicious. 🙂 Ok…not really, but I had never seen one of these before, so I wanted to share! 🙂
The other night when we had friends over for this meal, Chuck also made the tastiest fruit salad. I think it's my new favorite combination of fruits….strawberries, pineapple and grapes. YUM! He made a huge batch and we ate it the next day with every meal! I highly recommend giving it a try.
Also….please note that this is not the way we served the fruit salad! But it would have been a topic of discussion if we had. I also saw a picture online of fruit salad served in martini glasses. I think I am going to have to give that a try next time!
I made this last night for dinner when we had some friends over. I haven’t made it for a while, but I was reminded how tasty it was! This is from Kraft Foods. There’s only two ingredients to put on the chicken and then you serve it over noodles. Yum! If you want something quick, easy and delicious, you should give this a try!
A couple weeks ago I made my very first attempt at homemade bread from scratch. This means I didn't put it in the bread maker…I mixed it and baked it in the oven. It was a HUGE hit! I made it when Chuck's grandparents stayed with us and again the weekend after that. Both times I meant to take a picture of the bread and I forgot. I did get one picture.
Yes, this is a picture of the crumbs left over in the bag it was stored in. Ha! See…it really was a hit! I have some ripe bananas in the freezer to use when I get the urge to bake.
I found the recipe from Stef's website. She is my friend's sister-in-law. I left out the nuts in my bread since I don't care for them.
Give it a try. It's delicious!
I came across this recipe from Kraft Foods website. I love their magazines and I had to give this one a try. I had everything I needed except for the green peppers, but it was great anyway!
You can get the recipe HERE.
It was really simple and quick to make. And also very delicious! I made mine with hot salsa and I think I would use medium next time. It tasted really good, but my mouth hurt for a while after. 🙂 I will definitely make this again!
One of my very best friends is celebrating her birthday (29 and holding!) today. Kelly works with Chuck so I get to see her for lunch at least 3 times a week. Today we went to Cosi for lunch and Kelly got the smores. We have been eyeing these since we started doing lunches at Cosi over a year ago.
It's so cute!
This is a close up of the flame. There's a fancy purple gel in the middle that you light and then put the grate back over the top. Note * if you get this, light this a bit before you want the smores because it got increasingly hotter.
And finally…the birthday girl! (With a strange show-lady behind her!)
I am usually not a huge fan of anything that comes in a healthier form than the original, but I thought I would give these a try.
At our Friday Treat Day at work, someone brought these in and I gave them a try. I am pleased to say they are actually quite good!
I have also found a new found love of grapes. Grapes were there for Treat Day and I am pretty sure I ate my weight in them!
I am a huge fan of Goldfish! I could eat a whole bag of prezel, cheese or parmesan goldfish in a sitting without a problem! My coworker got some of these:
They are goldfish graham crackers. I know they aren't much different than just getting a package of graham crackers, but they are WAY more fun to eat! 🙂 And less messy! I always end up with graham cracker ALL over me and my surroundings when I eat them. My coworker and I decided they would be really yummy in some pudding! It's a good thing lunch isn't TOO far away! All this food talk is making me hungry! 🙂
After lunch today we stopped to get a tasty treat at DQ. That's what you do on Friday's right? I love getting a twist cone (because I too full after lunch for a blizzard) and today they had chocolate and vanilla, but in different machines. So this is how they made it for me. 🙂 I thought it was cute! 🙂
I love D*Brian's. I love their soups. My old favorite used to be Loaded Baked Potato. Until I tried the Spicy Chicken Tortilla! YUM! I could eat this stuff every day! And, it's only 230 calories for a bowl! You can't go wrong! If you have never been to D*Brian's…Go! If you haven't been there in a long time…Go! 🙂
I recently had lunch at Chili's, and they have a great lunch deal with endless soup and salad. They had a Tortilla soup, too and that was really good. They also have a Baked Potato soup. I had to say no to more soup, not because I didn't want it, but because I had eaten my weight in chips and salsa! MMM! 🙂
Are you hungry now? I am!
