Daisy cupcakes

Posted on May 14, 2009 by Andi

I was at a jewelry party at Katie's this past weekend and she had these adorable cupcakes!

A friend of hers made them for the party. They are made out of french vanilla cake mix, the white is white chocolate and the yellow and green are frosting. And they yellow part has glitter on them. I didn't expect to take pictures there, so they are with my phone and not the greatest. But I know I want to try making these sometime! Enjoy!

Crystal Light

Posted on April 6, 2009January 30, 2011 by Andi

I love Crystal Light. I used to be a fan of the lemonades…regular, pink lemonade, raspberry lemonade…YUM! Well, Crystal Light has come out with a bunch of really wonderful new flavors! Here are a few of my favorites…

Cherry Pomegranate

Pomegranate Lemonade…yep, another lemonade…SO good!

And Peach Mango Green Tea

I wasn’t sure what I would think of them, but I love them all! I wish they came in larger containers, but I have only seen these in the individual packets. I was quite skeptical of the green tea one, since I haven’t had anything green tea flavored before. I have to say…I was quite pleased. I think it’s mostly because there are other flavors mixed with it, but I like it! I want to try all of the flavors they have! They are so tasty! If you haven’t tried Crystal Light before or haven’t in a while, you should definitely check out all the new flavors they have! You might find a new favorite! 🙂

Benihana

Posted on March 2, 2009 by Andi

Tonight we went to Benihana with some of our best friends. Not all of them could make it, but we had a blast! I am thankful all the time for the wonderful friends we have. We can lean on them when we need it, they make us laugh when necessary and they will come out on short notice and have dinner. It's such a nice feeling to have people you know will be friends for life. We've all been through a lot together and we will be through more as the years go on. For any of you that read this…please know how much you and your friendships mean to both of us!

Crazy Cakes

Posted on December 30, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

A while back I said I saw some really cool cakes at Lunds. Well, we were there again, and this time I took some pictures of them! Feel free to get hungry while you gaze at them!

And my favorite….

Aren't they cute!? They make me want to make and decorate cakes for a living. It would be so much fun! I might have to look into that as a new career venture! 🙂

Cupcakes

Merry Christmas Eve! I am hanging out with family in Iowa and having a great time. I just wanted to share this one little picture I came across the other day. I loved the colors of the decorated cupcakes…of course I do…it's pink! So I thought I would share. Here's to hoping you are eating lots of yummy Christmas food the next couple days and getting as fat as I am down here!

Hip Hip Hooray!

Posted on December 10, 2008 by Andi

Chuck comes home today! Ha! I didn't intend for that to rhyme. 🙂

Chuck has been gone for a week now and I am so excited he's getting home! I haven't been able to sleep with him gone. I don't know why because I don't usually have such a hard time sleeping. By usually, I mean never…I can fall asleep any time of the day, just about anywhere. But for some reason, I was an insomniac this week with him gone. So I am happy he'll be home and I feel bad for him that I am going to sleep for a couple days! But people at work are even happy he's coming back because I have been a little cranky! 🙂

I am off to Cosi to have lunch with a friend. Mostly I need to get away from my desk for a minute! If you haven't eaten at Cosi before, you should check it out! I am getting pizza today! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving!

Posted on November 27, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We have a fun-filled few days coming up. My dad and step mom are coming over today for Thanksgiving dinner and tomorrow we're having my mom, step dad, brothers and my brother's girlfriend over. They are getting lasagna. Then for Christmas, I make Thanksgiving dinner for my mom and crew and my dad and step mom get the lasagna. It's been working well for the past couple years. 🙂 And I like having people over. Saturday we are going to Chuck's mom's house and Sunday we have no plans! I think we'll need that day for recuperation!

When I first had people over for Thanksgiving I was looking forward to making everything except the turkey. That's a lot of pressure. At least in my mind. Then I heard about this little life saver!

This is a Oven-Ready Turkey in a Bag by Jennie-O. We get the whole turkey and it's so easy. Just stick in the oven frozen and go. (I just put mine in a couple minutes ago.) They have a couple different flavors and they come in the freezer section. They also make just breasts which would be nice for an everyday meal or a small gathering.

That's my Thanksgiving tip. I have some Schminke Stuffing to make (Chuck's mom's side of the family) and potatoes, but I am not even stressed a little! 🙂 Just very excited to eat until I explode! 🙂

Chuck and I put our tree up today, so while I am waiting for it to be closer to time to make more food, I am going to start decorating the tree! Oh, and we took our house off the market for the holidays. It's just not fun to keep it clean this time of year and we wouldn't want to move in the winter anyway. So we'll put it back on the market in February. (Just a little update!) Enjoy your Turkey Day!

Cupcakes

Posted on November 20, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

I saw this picture on a blog I read and thought it was really cute. They remind me of Sesame Street characters. And they look so fuzzy!

At Byerly's last night I was looking at their bakery food when we were walking around and man do they have some gorgeous stuff there! I saw a caterpillar cake that was done the same way as these cupcakes in rainbow colors. I thought it was adorable! I'll have to keep these in mind for when I have kids and get to make silly cakes! They seem like a lot of work for a Saturday activity! 🙂

Orange Glazed Chicken

Posted on October 29, 2008January 11, 2012 by Andi

First, let me start out by saying that I LOVE my grill pan. I think it's the best invention ever. I get to grill, but I don't have to go outside to do it. I know it isn't really the same as grilling, but I get equal satisfaction from both. 🙂 This is a picture of my grill pan at work for yet another Let's Dish meal.

This was pretty good. It was really spicy. It had a bit of a strange flavor to it, but I still liked it. It would be something I need to get used to if I were going to eat it often. Here are a couple pictures of the meal before we ate. The first one is Chuck's with stuffing and green beans (since anyone that knows me, knows I don't like green things…except canned peas). The second one is my meal with some buttered noodles. I had a craving for pasta! 🙂

Chicken Parmigiana

Posted on October 24, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

One night last week we made one of the meals we got from our most recent visit to Let's Dish. We went with Chicken Parmigiana and it was so good. I don't remember what we put in it, but man, was it yummy. it had a little kick to it which made it even better. I am loving this place now that we are working. I think I love it more every time I try a new meal!

And, no. This wasn't taken with my wonderful photography skills and then edited to add the words! This was taken from their website. I realized when I took pictures of another meal I just made (which I will tell you about soon) I realized I should have taken a picture of this one, too!
