Cupcakes!

Posted on March 11, 2007January 10, 2012 by Andi

I don't consider myself to be much of a baker, so when I made these successfully, I had a little more hope for my baking skills.

These were made from a strawberry cake mix with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. I don't normally like cake, but these were pretty good! Maybe they tasted good because I was so proud of myself….Anything is possible.

Yes, the mix was out of a box. No, I didn't make the frosting. But I had loads of fun. I might even decide I am capable of making more. So beware! You might just get some the next time I see you!

Marvelous Mini Meatloaves

Mini Meatloaves

I made these last week and they were really yummy. They are from Kraftfoods.com. You make them in a cupcake pan. There are a number of different ways to make them to taste differently. I made the Italian one this time. They were kind of like meatballs. 🙂

The recipe for these can be found here: Marvelous Mini Meatloaves. Enjoy!

Crab-filled Crescent Snacks

Posted on January 17, 2007April 5, 2016 by Andi

These are really good and simple to make. I made them for an appetizer at Christmas and they were a huge hit. I made them again last night. I have included the recipe for you to take a look and maybe give it a try!

Chocolate-Carmel Swirled Chip Cookies Dipped in White Chocolate

Posted on December 12, 2006 by Andi

Yes, this is a very long name, but they are really good. I am part of a cookie exchange next weekend and I had some people over this weekend to bake. These were the cookies I made. I used the recipe on the back of the package of chocolate-caramel swirled chips and then dipped part in white chocolate to add a little something extra to them. They turned out quite well.

I also have pictures from the Cookie Making we did this weekend. My friend, Kellyn came along with my mom, aunt, youngest brother and cousin. Charlie spent most of the time playing video games….and testing cookies. So I think he had a good time. My mom made my Peppermint Bark. My aunt made some Peanut Butter cookies with Kisses pushed in them. Kellyn made tons of dipped pretzels, and some other things I haven't heard of before…and we made some candy cane shaped cookies. I think we need a little more practice on those. 🙂

It was a good time. I might actually do it again sometime! 🙂

HERE are pictures from the Cookie Making if you are interested.

Chicken Taco Grande

Posted on December 12, 2006April 5, 2016 by Andi

I made this the other day and it was really good. It was similar to the Chicken Ring I made from Pampered Chef. This was really easy to make and I will probably make it again. I did the same thing I did with the other recipe which is make the filling as it calls for, but only use 1 package of crescent rolls. It is much fuller, but makes for a better meal for Chuck and me. I have included the recipe from Pillsbury where I found this recipe. Enjoy!

Lemon Herb Chicken Ring

Posted on November 27, 2006 by Andi

The first thing I have to say about this recipe is YUM! I went to a Pampered Chef party and we were shown how to make this recipe. It was really simple to make and it tasted so good! I have made it before as a meal for Chuck and I. The only thing I did differently is use only one package of crescent rolls. I made the inside mix the same way and stuffed it slightly more than I normally would. It ends up being slightly more full and makes a good meal. I thought it was a little silly to use two packages of crescent rolls for the two of us. I have also made this as an appetizer, so keep that in mind if you are having friends or guests over.

Here is a site I found with the recipe on it. It isn't the Pampered Chef site, but it's the same recipe! Enjoy!

Stuffed Chicken with Three Bell Peppers

Posted on November 27, 2006April 5, 2016 by Andi

There's a great website with healthy foods on it called FoodFit.com. I found a really yummy recipe on there that isn't too hard to make. It's Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Three Bell Peppers and is very good. I was a little hesitant the first time I made it because there is balsamic vinegar in it, so I wasn't sure I would like the taste of it. Turns out, the vinegar it simmers in ends up really sweet. So with the sweet vinegar and the peppers inside, it really reminds me of a stir fry! It's quite tasty. Hope you give it a try.

Peppermint Bark

Posted on November 27, 2006January 11, 2012 by Andi

I wanted to try something new for the holidays. I have seen Peppermint Bark all over the place, but had never tried it. I found some recipes and made my own for Thanksgiving to try out. It was a hit! Everyone liked it. It was really easy to make and I will certainly make it again. Here's a picture of some of it. I'm kind of sad it's all gone! 🙂

Beef Stuffed Pasta Shells

Posted on May 12, 2006 by Andi

I altered the recipe I had of this a bit. I used beef, onion, green pepper, sauce, cheese….but I didn't follow the recipe exactly. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be to stuff the shells. They didn't get as big as I thought they would. I stuffed them and lined them in a baking dish on top of some sauce. After they were all stuffed, I put a bit more sauce on the top so they wouldn't dry out and some more cheese and baked until it was cooked through and bubbly. It turned out pretty well, but I might use a different sauce the next time I make it. I wasn't sure I liked the type I used with it and the flavor it gave. But overall it was pretty good.

Heinz Special Meatloaf

Posted on May 12, 2006 by Andi

I haven't been keeping up with my food reviews, but I will get back on track with that. I made this meatloaf a couple weeks ago and it turned out pretty well. I made it in a aquare pan and when it was done, I added mashed potatoes to the top of it with some shredded cheese on the top and cooked until the potatoes were hot and the cheese was melted. This was like a Hamburger Pie recipe I have. It turned out pretty well. I served it with flakey biscuits.
