I wish everyone a Happy Halloween! I came across this picture and thought that I should share. They either have a million children to carve pumpkins or too much time on their hands. Either way, it looks pretty cool and a little spooky! I hope they grow them themselves or they spent a fortune on pumpkins and candles!

My Halloween Costume
I have to say that I don't really like dressing up for Halloween. I think it's a waste of money to just wear once. One solution would be to make a costume or to go to more than one party so you can wear it more than once. But who wants to make something when you can buy something as slutty….I mean as cute as this!
Chuck has a striped scrub-like costume to wear. I think we'll be cute. I have no idea what I am going to do with this costume after Halloween except maybe wear it for the next how ever many years I can! (I figure at some point it just won't be appropriate.) People at work asked if I was wearing my costume to work and I think it's a bit inappropriate for the workplace. But maybe if I wear it I'll get a raise! Hmmm…something to ponder!
Fiesta Chicken
I made this meal from Let's Dish one day last week. It was so good! I was a little surprised when I read the instructions on how to make it. I wasn't really thinking about how I had to make it when we were putting it together.
You marinate some chicken and then you have a bag full of white, red and purple tortilla chip strips. You crush the chips and put the chicken into the bag to coat them. Then you cook them in a pan. The chips made them so crunchy! It was so tasty. And something that would be so easy to do, but I wouldn't think to use them as coating for chicken. This is what it looked like in the pan as it was cooking.
Then there was Mexican Corn to go with it. This is really just corn, red pepper, onion and some seasoning. This just gets cooked in a pan, too.
I decided I wanted some rice with it, so I made some while the other stuff was cooking. It came with salsa to go with it, too. I am sure it was a nice touch, but I didn't eat it with it. I thought it was good the way it was. So here's a plate of it before I devoured it!
I know I have said it before, but I really like Let's Dish. There are so many options and it really takes the thought out of making a great meal. That's what I have a hard time with. The planning and deciding what to make. Now, I can just got to the freezer and take something out and I know I will love it. It's also helping me try new things. Which I think is a good thing.
Me & My Kitty
The other night, I wasn't feeling too well after getting a flu shot and having a mild cold. So I went to sleep on the couch and Sadie curled up with me. Chuck took a picture of us from the other couch and sent it to me. I thought it was funny!
Sadie loves to snuggle, but recently her favorite places to sleep are on the floor heating vents or on the run in my bathroom by the heater. I think she's getting old!
More Shoes
I thought I would share a couple more shoes I like with you. These first ones go along with the “warm” trend I have had going.
They are flat shoes with fuzzy insides! You can get these fuzzy ballet flats at Target. There's a good chance I might have to get these before my birthday. My birthday isn't *that* far away! But how cool! I could get away with slippers!!!
These next ones I already have a pair of and I just love them! They are so comfortable and I have had many people ask where I got them.
These pumps are ones I would definitely get another pair of to have when I wear these out! So I might have to watch for them to go on sale and hope I can find my size! Which, by the way, they only have a 5 1/2 in these. That's as small as they go. But I put in these plastic foot pads and they take up a little space and keep me from slipping in them. They are wonderful!:)
Warming Scarf
This is something I saw recently that I think needs to go to the top of my list! It's a scarf you can put in the microwave and heat up. There are pockets in it and a zipper pocket, too. I think I am in love!
I found this at Bed Bath & Beyond and I now see that they are on clearance! So get out there and put one of these Scarves in your cart for me and anyone else cold you know!
Oh, and on a side note…if you didn't already know, Linen's N Things has been bought and is going out of business. So if you need something from that store (I needed another set of bed sheets), you should be sure you stop in there. It's already getting pretty picked over, but you might find a good deal.
Boots
So I think I am going to need some of these boots. I have a feeling I am going to wear them all day at work to keep me warm this winter! I don't really know what to expect working somewhere other than my house in the winter. It's been so long. But let me tell you how much I am looking forward to the commute when it appears that most Minnesotans can't figure out how to drive in the rain….It should be interesting.
But back to the task at hand…boots! The two pairs I am going to show you are both from Target.
These are the adult ones. I would need a 5 if I can find it (which is as small as adult shoes go.) They are taller and look a little like heaven for my toes. These are really flat, so it doesn't add much height to my shortness, but they cover more of my short legs!
Now this pair is also cute.
These are the kid ones. They are shorter, but cheaper. If I am buying them for myself, most likely I would end up with these even though I would like the taller ones more because of the $10 price difference. These I would need to get in a 4. I could probably fit in a 3, but my other kid boots are a 4 and they fit winter ski socks! These do have a little more heel and height on the bottom, which might be good because then I am not as close to the cold ground!
So if you were thinking…”hmm. I should buy Andi some boots.” Here are a couple suggestions! But if you want to spend more than $20-$30, I am sure I would love Uggs!
Clocky
This little guy is for those of us that can't resist hitting the snooze button in the morning!
Here is a video of Clocky in action! He's not that expensive considering you are getting a robot on crack! So I think I might need to get one. Maybe I'll add it to my wish list. (I must get it in Raspberry….aka pink, though!)
Will It Blend?
I used to post these a lot, but haven't looked at them in a while. My friend sent me one recently and I had to post it. How very sad…..
See!? Sad! Who would do this to an iPhone? Enjoy!
Some Stamp Sets
I have tried to take a quick peek through the most current Stampin' Up! catalogs to pick out some things I want. I have added these to my Wish List under the “Stampin' Up! Products” list. I have included pictures here for you, too. Maybe you'll get some ideas or think of something you like, too. Also, I like to see pictures here because it helps me remember what they were and this is easier to look at then clicking on each link.
Here are the image sets. The names of the sets are below them.
Season of Friendship
Pocket Silhouettes
Flight of the Butterfly
And here are the word sets. The names of the sets are below them.
Heard from the Heart
Full of Life
Curvy Verses
I am sure there are more that I will be adding to the list, but these are the ones at first glance that I really wanted! If you want to buy anything (for yourself or for me) you can contact Katie.
