Another Purse….

Posted on August 8, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

This is another bag I saw at Target that I liked and I have added this to my Wish List.

This is my second choice to THIS bag that I posted previously. I still want the black one more, but this one is adorable as well! 🙂 And both of these are on my wish list unless I find out someone got them for me…and if they do (or if I get them for myself) I will take them off my wish list.

On a different note, I can't believe it's Friday already! But I am glad it is. Tonight is the start of the Olympics and I am looking forward to a lot of the sports. What do you like to watch the most during the Olympics?

Cookies N Cream

Posted on August 7, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

I love these Cookies N Cream candy bars. They are so tasty! I am also a huge fan of Mint Oreo Blizzards from Dairy Queen. I had no idea I had such a love for Oreo's!

So the candy bars are great! Then I found these! They are Cookies N Cream kisses! Little bite sized pieces of heaven! They are so tasty! If you happen to find them anywhere, I definitely recommend you purchase some and enjoy them, too!

New Toby Lightman CD…..YAY!

Posted on August 6, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

I finally got my new Toby Lightman cd (Let Go) in the mail yesterday. We got home late from hanging out with friends, so this morning I promptly turned the cd into mp3s for my iPhone and copied them over. In true Andi fashion…I somehow managed to screw this up. How many times have I done this? A ton. But apparently when Chuck looked at my phone it wasn't plugged in all the way. So I am sure that was the problem. But it said it was syncing….I am so sad. I went to listen to it on my walk through the skyway this morning, but nope. I failed and now I have to wait until I get home. I really should have known there was something fishy going on when I was syncing my phone and the space left on my phone was not any smaller than when I started. I just thought…hmmm, I guess that didn't take much space. I am such and airhead sometimes! I will let you know how it is though after I get to listen to it…darnit!

This is the cd front for the new cd. It doesn't appear to be in store anywhere, but you can buy it on iTunes or from her website. I think you can get it on the Home Shopping Network, too. (If you are into that sort of thing!)

Ugly Dolls

Posted on August 5, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

I got these from Katie when I was over at her house the last time. Her son got a bunch of them from some friends and they were kind enough to share them with me. I think they are just hilarious. They crack me up and I think they are so cute. They are so soft and snuggly…who'd a thunk it with those ugly faces! I just wanted to share these little guys!

As Promised….

Posted on August 4, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

Here is a picture of our new bed in our room. It was quite a challenge to get a picture of the whole thing. It's huge! But I love it. It's like sleeping on a cloud! I have slept a number of nights in a row without waking up in the middle of the night for something. I am actually sleeping until my alarm goes off. It's a new concept and I like it! So I love the new bed and I love my new pillow. I think that has helped the most…having a pillow that fits me better.

Also, HERE is a picture (the only one I could find) of our dresser so you can see that it does look pretty good together. I am pleased with how the look together. I was a little skeptical at first…but was pleasantly surprised.

Please excuse any messiness in the room you may see and the fact that the sheet is not tucked in on the bed. I was just excited to get a picture of the bed! 🙂

I also intended to get more posts done during the weekend, but I just didn't get around to it. So I am sorry if you were anxiously waiting for a post all weekend! 🙂

Jeff Foxworthy on Minnesota

Posted on August 1, 2008 by Andi

This was an e-mail my coworker sent to me. I asked her what was so funny as she was sitting at her desk laughing hysterically all by herself. This was why…

Jeff Foxworthy on Minnesota:

If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 18 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by,

You might live in Minnesota…

If you're proud that your state makes the national news 96 nights each year because International Falls is the coldest spot in the nation,

You might live in Minnesota…

If you have ever refused to buy something because it's 'too spendy',

You might live in Minnesota…

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March,

You might live in Minnesota…

If someone in a store offers you assistance, and they don't work there,

You might live in Minnesota…

If your dad's suntan stops at a line curving around the middle of his forehead,

You might live in Minnesota…

If you have worn shorts and a parka at the same time,

You might live in Minnesota…

If your town has an equal number of bars and churches,

You might live in Minnesota…

If you know how to say…Wayzata, Mahtomedi, Cloquet, Edina and Shakopee

You might live in Minnesota…

If you think that ketchup is a little too spicy,

You might live in Minnesota…

If vacation means going 'up north' for the weekend,

You might live in Minnesota…

You measure distance in hours,

You might live in Minnesota…

You know several people, who have hit deer more than once,

You might live in Minnesota…

You often switch from 'Heat' to 'A/C' in the same day and back again,

You might live in Minnesota…

You can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching,

You might live in Minnesota…

You see people wearing hunting clothes at social events,

You might live in Minnesota…

You install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked,

You might live in Minnesota…

You think of the major food groups as beer, fish, and Venison,

You might live in Minnesota…

You carry jumper cables in your car, and your girlfriend knows how to use them,

You might live in Minnesota…

There are 7 empty cars running in the parking lot at Mill's Fleet Farm at any given time,

You might live in Minnesota…

You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit,

You might live in Minnesota…

Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow,

You might live in Minnesota…

You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and of course, road construction,

You might live in Minnesota…

You can identify a southern or eastern accent,

You might live in Minnesota…

Your idea of creative landscaping is a plastic deer next to your blue spruce,

You might live in Minnesota…

If 'Down South' to you means Iowa,

You might live in Minnesota…

You know 'a brat' is something you eat,

You might live in Minnesota…

You find -10 degrees 'a little chilly',

You might live in Minnesota…

You actually understand these jokes, and you forward them to all your Minnesota friends,

You DO live in Minnesota.

I thought it was cute. I don't usually do these things, but since I was laughing, I thought you might enjoy reading them, too! Plus Jeff Foxworthy is hilarious. 🙂

Nail Color Tool

Posted on July 31, 2008March 6, 2011 by Andi

I found these couple links…and I am sure there are a ton more out there…where you can pick a nail color and see what it looks like on a certain nail shape, nail length and skin tone. I thought they were a lot of fun. Of course, it's not perfect, but you can really tell what colors would probably look bad on certain skin colors. Have fun playing! I sure did!

Green & Brown Purse

Posted on July 30, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

This is the purse I mentioned yesterday. My brother's girlfriend picked out the green placemats and told me she liked cream and brown. So that's exactly what I did. She loved it. She had asked me for one for her birthday, so I knew she would love it! These colors are so pretty together and I am very happy with the way it turned out!

New Bed

Posted on July 28, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

Chuck recently found out he has allergies to a few things and one of those things are dust mites. So I thought this was a perfect opportunity to get a new bed! We have been talking about getting a king size bed one day (I am a bed hog) and since Chuck wanted to get some new allergy stuff for the bed, it made sense to put it on a new bed instead of an old one….at least I thought so!

On a side note, I am a huge enabler if you didn't already know that about me! A queen was plenty big, but I wanted a HUGE one! And when we were picking out our most recent tv I told Chuck the one he picked wasn't quite big enough and we needed the next size up! HEHE. I am so tricksy! Not really…I am just an enabler! I won't deny it!

We got another Sleep Number bed. We just loved our other one and there wasn't much question what we were going to get this time. Of course we needed to have a new head board with the new bed since it was bigger. So we picked out one we liked and brought home 3. Yes three! The first two were damaged so we brought them back. Finally number 3 was the winner. We got the whole bed together (which came in about 11 boxes with all the parts and the allergy stuff we got for it) and after we attached the head board to it, it wasn't very stable because the headboard was really heavy. So we ended up getting the rest of the bed. Here is a picture of it. And this is a queen size in this picture.

I wasn't big on foot boards when we were looking at them in the store, but now that I have it, I am really happy with the way it looks. It also looks nice with the dresser we already had and is much more cherry in person. It has a leather backrest on it and I got pretty striped sheets for it! I really like it. I will show a picture of the bed in our room once the new pillows come in. They haven't been shipped yet…we might be making a phone call to them tomorrow considering we bought the bed on the 4th! So stay tuned for that picture!

Yay Torie!

Posted on July 28, 2008January 10, 2012 by Andi

I am so very proud of my friend's sister Torie! She just graduated from boot camp this weekend and Katie and her family went to South Carolina to see her graduate. (This is a picture of her frm graduation.) She is off to Texas for more training. She wants to be a medic. I am so proud of her. I have gotten to know her a bit during the short time I have known Katie and her family and Torie has the biggest heart and is the sweetest, most caring person. I wish her all the best in this new adventure in her life and I thank her for doing this great honor to our country! HERE is Katie's post about the graduation. Congrats Torie! I'll leave you with a picture of Katie and Torie…Such gorgeous ladies!
