A while ago I created a recipe database to add recipes to. I am part of a couple email recipe exchanges and I have been adding recipes that I receive from them as well as ones I have from family or other places. It's been a while since I have put new recipes on there...

Raspberry-Lemon Shortbread Tart

March 13, 2006Food(0)
This was a recipe I found in Rachael Ray's magazine. It looked really good in the picture. I wish I could have made it look as pretty in person as it looked in the picture. I followed the directions, (so I thought) but things didn't turn out as I had hoped. It said to mix...

I made this dish today for the Brunch I had at our house. It was really easy to make. I was pleased with the way it turned out. I got this from my aunt Patty. Everyone at the Brunch said it was really good. I changed the recipe slightly and added both ham and sausage...

Brunch & Craft

Today I had some people over for a brunch and I decided to do some crafts while they were here. It was a lot of fun. I made lots of food that turned out pretty well. I made a Raspberry-Lemon Shortbread tart that I didn't think turned out real well, but people seemed to like...

I finished painting the bedroom last weekend and during the week I painted the end tables in the room. I painted it grey. The name of the color is “Anonymous”. I really like it. Here is a picture of the room: I think it turned out really well. I was a bit worried about the...

Chuck got a new laptop today and I got his previous one. The current one I had was a bit too slow to use for work. We thought about getting me a new one, but getting him one made more sense. I love it. It's so nice…and fast. Chuck's new one does some cool stuff....

A friend of ours had a couple extra tickets to the Gopher hockey game last night and we got to go. We were in the first row! There was lots of hitting on the glass in front of us. You could even see the expressions on the players faces! It was so much fun. I...

Melt-In-Your-Mouth-Meatloaf

March 2, 2006Food(0)
This was actually pretty good. It tasted like most other meatloaves I have had. The difference in this was the sauce (bbq-like) that you put on the top. I liked being able to put it in the slow cooker. It cooked for about 5 hours. It was pretty good, though. Might make it again sometime....

The Ant and the Grasshopper – Revised

March 1, 2006Randomness(0)
* OLD VERSION * The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or...

Miniatures

I have decided that more things should come in miniature size. Like shampoo…not just a select few, but all of them. Then if you wanted to change shampoo, you could get a sample first. This could just be me being strange, but I really like those little samples. You can't get much use out of...

A year has passed….

It's been a whole year and a couple days since my grandma passed. I can't believe it's been so long. Time flies. We got through Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it was strange. I think having them at our house really helped. Had we been at her house or my dad's I think it would have...

So when a cat loses a tooth, do you leave them a kitty treat? I found a tooth this morning when I was cleaning up. It could be Dax's since kittens do lose their baby teeth. I didn't see any obvious places in her mouth it could be from, though. Maybe it was from Sam...
