For Christmas, my mom and step-dad got us a membership to them MN Zoo. I had been waiting until the weather was a little nicer to activate it. Well, I got the urge to go to the zoo last Friday, so away we went!

And HERE are the rest of the pictures from the zoo. I really didn’t take that many pictures. I’ll have to take more next time I go…which might be this week again. With all the nice weather we have been having, It will be nice to see more of the outdoor animals.

Last week, I took Maddie to the Children’s Museum. My dad came with me and we met Chuck for lunch after. Maddie had such a great time running around. I can’t wait to bring her there again!

Maddie loves to play with balls. “Bao” is one of the words you can really understand that she says. She has a box that has balls in it and she likes to go to the box and grab a ball and say “bao”. It’s so cute! I got a couple videos of her playing with her balls. She is so funny! I just laugh at her all day!

This is Maddie sitting still! That doesn’t happen very often! She was exhausted after some errands and playing with some friends. I thought the way she was sleeping was so cute.  

And yes, she is holding a container of wipes. It has been her favorite toy for days!  

And I even caught her a second time sleeping in the car. It’s been a bit of a transition moving to one nap a day. So I do what I can to wear her out!  

It’s a good thing I have Maddie around or I might not have ANYTHING to write about. But I can’t deprive grandparents of pictures of their granddaughter, now can I?

Here are a couple pictures I took of her on her birthday. I might have overdone it with the pink! And, in our house, you are allowed to walk around with your breakfast on your birthday.

She was licking her plate clean. She loves sloppy joes!  

She loves my CamelBak water bottle and I think she has claimed it as her own.

Making thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts she got for her birthday. This was a lot of work to get them all done. I had to do them in sections so she would stay interested. And it was also a struggle to get her to understand that crayons are not for eating.

She loves putting things into things. Here is is putting forks into a cup.

And carrying the cup around after pushing her baby stroller into the kitchen.

And Maddie loves her picnic basket. She carries it around the house. And lately, she has wanted to sit by the fireplace. So she took her basket there to sit with it.

And she carries it around like a purse. Such a girly girl! (This was while she was running to her chair.)

And when she got to her chair, she sat there playing with the basket again.

She is so serious about things and does tasks so deliberately. I would love to know what was going through her mind and I can’t wait until she can talk and tell us all the things she is thinking.  

One of my best friends gave Maddie a stroller and doll for her birthday. And she loves it. She puts dolls, toys, packages of wipes in her stroller and pushes it around the house. She is getting better about steering it, too. The first two are of Maddie pushing the stroller around. The third, she plays with her snake-a-pillar (that Chuck’s mom made) and even waves good bye.
