Here’s What I Have to Say:

So Sneaky

The other day I wrote about a purse I wanted when I was away, but I was too cheap to get it. Well, my very sneaky, very fabulous, loving husband got it for me! He sent my friends text messages to find out where we went and he had the picture I sent him to work with. It was delivered to the house today. I told him he got a package and he told me to open it. And inside... Read More Read More ...

More Crawling

I took this video a couple weeks ago, but I still think it is cute and worth sharing. She has gotten really fast. Even faster than she is in this video. She is still army crawling, but her legs and getting much more involved. So sometimes her legs go faster than her arms and she topples on her face. It makes me giggle. When Maddie gets something in her sight that she wants.watch out! She makes a run for it! ...

We All Survived

We made it through my first weekend away. I only cried once late Saturday night. I was getting homesick and was sad that I was going to get home kind of late on Sunday. Turned out, I was gone exactly 48 hours.   Friday night, Chuck had a softball game, so my mom watched her and put Maddie to bed. Friday night, I went out with friends and danced and danced and danced.   Saturday, Chuck took Maddie to his... Read More Read More ...

Foam Letters Part II

Recently, I wrote about Maddie and her foam letters. I finally caught her goofiness on camera when she was playing with her letters and had one hanging out of her mouth. I love her little personality and how she does funny little things. She just makes me laugh and I love her so much! ...

Photo Shoot Preview

My brother came to take 6 month pictures of Maddie last weekend. He sent me a couple right away. There are more coming, but I had to post the first ones he sent me! I can’t wait to see the rest of them! I think they are going to turn out great! Thanks again to my wonderful brother! You can check out more of his work at NorlingImages.com. ...

Going To The Zoo Zoo Zoo…

My mom gets the summers off and it has been so great having her home this summer so Chuck and I could go on a couple dates while she babysat, going on walks with, hanging out at her pool, having lunch together and just hanging out to play with Maddie. Last week we went to the zoo with her. My brother, my mom’s friend and her friend’s son (also, one of my brother’s best friends) came, too. It was fun... Read More Read More ...

A Big Step…

Today I am leaving for a girls weekend with a bunch of friends. I am excitedand scared.and excited. This is my first time away from Maddie for more than a few hours. I know we will both survive, but I am still nervous to go. I started trying to get Maddie to drink from something other than me on Monday. I am happy to say that she is still alive! She didn’t starve. She also still won’t drink from a... Read More Read More ...

Snorting!

Here’s a little video of Maddie snorting. She does this all the time. When she wants more food, when she is playing with a toy, when she is just sitting there, when she looks at youshe’s a goofy one! ...

Mirrors Are Fun!

Sometimes I like to sit Maddie on the counter in her bathroom. She likes to talk to herself and kiss herself. She just cracks me up. And this oneshe looks angry, but she is really just snorting! I took a video of the snorting and I will share that as soon as I get it uploaded. ...

A Battle Between Mom & Baby

Who do you think will win? I hope it’s me! I leave in a few days for a weekend away with a bunch of girl friends. This will be my first time away from Maddie for more than a few hours. To say that I am nervous is an understatement. My friends riding with me have promised they won’t let me drive home if I get lonely and Chuck promises that even if things aren’t going well, he will lie... Read More Read More ...

Hard Candy

I made myself some candy! I came across a recipe for hard candy that you made in the microwave. I ran to the pantry and got cooking! I made strawberry, banana and raspberry. They turned out really well. The recipe I found was to make suckers. I decided to just pour it all out on a cookie sheet on parchment paper then break it into pieces. I used flavored extract. The recipe doesn’t recommend it, but I just used a... Read More Read More ...

Foam Letters

Maddie likes her foam letters I got for her to play with in the tub. She does the funniest things with them. Her newest trick is to put one in her mouth and keep playing. So she has a letter sticking out of her mouth. When I went to take her out of her car seat and she had the letter “I” shoved in her mouth, I couldn’t stop laughing at her! What a goof! ...

Happy Half Birthday, Maddie

Our baby girl is 6 months old! I can’t believe how fast she is growing up! But at the same time I am so excited for her to get older. She gets more fun every day. Maddie was 14.15 lbs. and 27.25″ long. She is still very long and thin for her age. Her growth charts make me laugh. She also got a couple more immunization shots and was a good sport! She only cried for a few seconds, then... Read More Read More ...

Garden Update

My garden is flourishing! I am quite surprised I made anything edible at all. I don’t consider myself much of a green thumb. I was talking to my brother about gardens and he told me I should probably pull my potatoes. I pulled one to see how it was and before I knew it, I had yanked them all up! I grew lots of potatoes! I wasn’t sure how many potatoes I was going to get. I got between 1... Read More Read More ...

Fisher Playdate

Last weekend we went to our friends’ house to hang out and let our kids play together. Their daughter, Chelsea, is a little over 3 weeks older than Maddie. It’s so cute to watch them play together. Here is a video of the girls playing! It’s hilarious! Thanks for having us over to play, Fishers! Hope to see you again soon!   ...

On The Move

Maddie is officially mobile! She goes anywhere she wants now. She likes to army crawl her way to my glasses or a laptop. I love the determination in her eyes when she is crawling to something! ...

Great Grandparents

Chuck’s dad’s parents stopped by last week on their way to visit Chuck’s dad. I snapped a couple pictures when they were visiting. Maddie and great-grandpa Chuck. Maddie and great-grandma Kathryn (with great-aunt Deb in the background). ...

Sitting Like A Big Girl

Maddie has her very own personal trainer. Did you know that? Don’t you wish you had one? Chuck’s sister, Paige, is an Occupational Therapist and likes to work with Maddie on things. Maddie is also a great guinea pig for Paige to practice on for the kids she works with. She helped work on getting her knees under her like she is doing so well in my last post. Paige is also working on sitting up with Maddie. Here’s Maddie... Read More Read More ...

Scooter

Maddie has been scooting around. She inches herself forward to get to something she wants (which is usually a cord to a laptop or a mouse). She’s really getting her feet up and her knees under her. She just needs to push onto her hands instead of her elbows.then she’s really going to move! She rolled and scooted almost to the front door while I watched her go. It was amusing. I can’t believe how fast she is growing and... Read More Read More ...

Baby Playdate

The other day I went to visit a friend from my old job who just had a baby. Maddie was quite fascinated by baby Joslyn! They are definitely bound to be great friends! Maddie really wanted to eat her. I’ll pretend she meant to kiss her instead of eat her! Welcome to the world baby Josyln and congrats to Danel and Darren! ...
